Ritefully Bespoke Ceremonies
Nicola Sinclair creating and facilitating unforgettable artistic ceremonies for all occasions from the womb to the tomb.
Life Ceremonies
Ceremonies that affirm our feelings, our changing circumstances or desire to move forward after a challenging situation:
- Retirement
- Reunion
- Significant birthdays
- Moving
- Starting again
Wedding
Every couple can have a personalised service to suit their style and can be lots of fun. So while you plan the colours and the look of the wedding party think also about what you want to say to each other and your family on this important day. Many couples exchange a ring as a symbol of eternal love but other rituals you might wish to include are:
- Hand fasting
- Tea Ceremonies
- Jumping over a broom
- A sand ceremony
- A letter Ceremony
- A wine ceremony
Birth rites, namings and welcoming
There is a long tradition around the world of welcoming children into their larger communities.
A naming is a beautiful ceremony without affiliation to a particular religious observance. For interfaith families rituals and prayers from different cultures can celebrate the heritage of a child from both sides of the family. Many celebrate with poems, readings, while some families light a candle, plant a tree or create a communal piece of art. Though a naming traditionally happens in the first year of life, they can be performed at any time and offer opportunity to:
- Present good fortune in the form of wishes and gifts ·
- Explain the meaning and rationale behind a chosen name ·
- Pledge promises in our roles as parents, siblings, family and friends
- Acknowledge changes in family dynamics and reassert our values and the way we wish to live
- Celebrate the next generation as a whole.
Funerals and Memorials
A funeral is a celebration of life. A chance to honour significant relationships, recognise special contributions, and to share humorous stories. My aim as funeral celebrant is to work with you to craft a ceremony that vividly portrays your loved one from the perspective of their community, family and friends and which genuinely reflects their unique tastes and philosophies of life.
After the service you be presented with a booklet of the words used as a special memento. Whether your loved one was old or young, and whether their passing was through terminal illness or sudden, tragic circumstances, I am here to help you to say good bye with dignity and respect.

Nicola Sinclair - Stage Manager and Civil Celebrant
Rites & Civil Ceremonies: funerals, weddings, name days
Theatre trained at Montview in London I arrived in Sydney in 1995 and have been working in theatres and festivals across Australia ever since.
I am passionate about creative exciting rituals that are meaningful for couples and their guests. I have had the privilege of working with many families and couples since 2010. My favorite ceremonies to date have included sand art, Balinese dancers, Tibetan sound bowls, a sing along processional, and a goat.
